Yesterday I played a board game with Willa and India (who was fashionably dressed in a pink belt--and nothing else). The objective was to collect as many chips as possible. The kids were collecting chips rapidly, but it took me a good long while to earn three chips. I said, "Finally, I have three chips!" Willa answered, "We each only have four." I told her that India had at least five. Willa smiled shyly, and said quietly, "Me, too." Isn't it wonderful that there are thoughtful people like that in the world....even if at this point they have no front teeth, and are only in second grade?
